 The Galilee Society Institute of Applied Research is currently expanding its research activities and therefore invites applicants for a researcher position 

The applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

1) Holds a Ph.D. degree in any field of science and/or engineering relevant to Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Medical sciences and Natural sciences to conduct high quality applied research.

2) Has a relevant postdoctoral research experience and completed their postdoctoral research, preferably, no more than 3 years from the position announcement date.

3) Showed a proven record of research achievements and has a clear research plan for the future.


We currently see to expand our areas of research with the general framework of the above-mentioned topics. Therefore, we especially encourage candidates with new innovative research topics in applied research to apply for the position.

The Galilee Society Institute of Applied Research is an independent research institute that is affiliated with the University of Haifa, and located in sheaf-Amr. The Institute is one of seven regional research and development centers supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and its main mission is to carry out creative, pioneering and innovative research in order to enhance the living standards and quality of life for people and their environment. In addition to conducting high quality applied research, the institute provides lab and research services in water and wastewater treatment, and is involved in scientific education. The main research fields of the institute include wastewater treatment, bioenergy production from wastewater and solid agriculture waste, antimicrobial activity of medicinal plants, and drug discovery. In addition, the institute is also involved in community and health research.
